Our supported work ready programme aims to enable our care and support customers to build their independence, learn new skills and get in to employment.

The FREE work ready programme is tailored to meet the needs of each participant for three to six months and offers:

• supported on the job training at East Thames’ offices
• help to improve job skills and prospects
• ongoing help to find a job.

Live, learn and grow - Tolpuddle House supported housing and training programme in Chipping Ongar, Essex

Tolpuddle House

Tolpuddle House is a unique supported housing service designed to help you move towards independent living, and build work and other life skills.

Tenants at Tolpuddle House receive a tailored package of support, accommodation and opportunities for developing new skills at the neighbouring Zinc Arts Centre. The development programme involves between two and five days of education, training and/or supported employment which includes accredited courses in arts, catering, hospitality, housekeeping, independent living, essential life and employability skills.

The services at Tolpuddle House are delivered by arts and education specialists, Zinc and supported housing experts, East Living, who are part of the East Thames Group.

Railway Meadow in Chipping Ongar

Railway Meadow is a purpose built supported housing service designed to help young parents overcome challenges during their pregnancy and the first year of their baby’s life.

Tenancies are offered to young mothers, fathers and couples aged 16-25 and the support will give them essential parenting and life skills to enable the young families to move on and live independent and healthy lives.
