We are pleased to present our 2008-09 East Thames Group annual review. This year is very special for us as we are celebrating 30 years of service, and in celebrating this milestone we’ve been reflecting on both the past and our future direction of travel.
This year we have produced an electronic review with great interactive features including pop-up case studies, an interactive map showing our work by borough, and short films illustrating the impact our homes, projects and programmes are having on the communities we serve, such as:
- renovating our old head office in Plaistow, now providing supported living to women with mental health needs (see page 29)
- welcoming the first residents into our new foyer in Barking (see page 21)
- launching a mentoring programme to help young black men into employment (see page 22)
- completing Grand Union Place, a 500-home canal-side development in an overcrowded part of Tower Hamlets (see page 42)
We are also extremely proud to have signed a contract to deliver 1,379 affordable homes in the Athletes’ Village as part of Triathlon Homes, alongside our partners Southern Housing Group and First Base (see page 43). Read about all of this and more in our review.
